Specific services
Brake Pads and Discs
Brake pads and brake discs replaced in axle sets, with the surrounding brake parts checked as part of the job.
View service →Brakes, Suspension & SteeringABS Diagnostics and Repairs
ABS fault finding and repair, from warning lights and sensor faults to wiring and control unit problems.
View service →Brakes, Suspension & SteeringWheel Bearing Replacement
Wheel bearing diagnosis and replacement for humming, rumbling or loose-feeling wheels.
View service →Brakes, Suspension & SteeringShock Absorber Replacement
Shock absorber replacement to restore ride control, steering feel and braking stability, with springs and mounts checked too.
View service →Brake pads
Brake pads wear down with use and need replacing before the friction material is gone. Squealing, a grinding noise or a longer stopping distance are warnings. Pads are normally replaced in axle sets so braking stays even.
Brake discs

Brake discs wear, warp and corrode. A pulsing brake pedal or steering-wheel shake under braking can mean warped discs. Discs are usually replaced with pads so the new parts bed in together.
Brake repairs
Brake repairs include calipers, brake lines, hoses, master cylinders and fluid. Seized calipers, soft pedals and fluid leaks are all issues we diagnose and put right.
ABS diagnostics and repairs
ABS diagnostics and repairs track down why the ABS warning light is on. Wheel-speed sensors, wiring and the ABS module are common causes. The brakes may still work normally, but anti-lock protection will not, so it needs fixing.
Suspension repairs

Suspension repairs cover worn bushes, arms, drop links and ball joints. Knocks over bumps, a car that wanders or uneven tyre wear can all point to worn suspension.
Shock absorbers
Shock absorbers control how the car moves over bumps. Worn ones cause bounce, nose-dive under braking and longer stopping distances, and they are normally replaced in pairs on the same axle.
Springs
Spring replacement is needed when a coil spring breaks or sags. A broken spring may cause a car to sit low on one corner, clunk over bumps and can fail an MOT.
Steering repairs
Steering repairs address play in the steering, a car that pulls or wanders, and worn components such as track rod ends and racks. Steering is safety-critical, so do not delay.
Power steering
Power steering repairs cover heavy steering, whining pumps and fluid leaks, as well as electric power-steering faults. We find the cause and put it right.
Wheel bearings
Wheel bearings let the wheels turn smoothly. A humming or rumbling noise that changes with speed or when turning is the classic sign. A badly worn bearing is unsafe and should be replaced promptly.

Brakes, Suspension & Steering FAQs
How do I know my brake pads need replacing?
Squealing, grinding, a longer stopping distance or a brake warning light are typical signs. Pads should be inspected regularly, and replaced before the friction material runs out.
Why do my brakes vibrate?
Vibration or pulsing under braking often points to warped discs, but can also be caused by wheel or suspension issues. We inspect to find out.
What does the ABS light mean?
It means the anti-lock system has detected a fault, often a wheel-speed sensor. Normal braking usually works, but ABS will not, so get it checked.
How do I know if my shock absorbers are worn?
Excessive bounce, nose-dive when braking, knocking over bumps and uneven tyre wear are common signs.
Why is my car pulling to one side?
It could be uneven tyre pressure, a brake problem, worn suspension or alignment that needs correcting. A check will find the cause.
What causes a humming noise from the wheels?
A humming noise that changes with speed or when cornering often points to a worn wheel bearing.
Can you fix heavy or noisy power steering?
Yes. We diagnose power-steering faults, including pump and fluid issues, and repair or replace what is needed.
Will worn brakes or suspension fail an MOT?
They can. Brake performance, condition and suspension wear are all checked at an MOT, and we can repair issues and retest.
