Paintwork & Resprays in Tyne and Wear
Full resprays, partial resprays, paint matching and quick SMART repairs from our Hebburn bodyshop, finished to blend with the rest of your vehicle.

Paintwork & Resprays from our Hebburn workshop
A good paint finish is mostly preparation. Rubbing down, filling, priming and masking take much longer than spraying, and they decide whether the job looks right in a year as well as on the day. At our Hebburn bodyshop we prepare each job carefully before any paint goes on.
We offer full resprays, partial resprays, paint matching, paint correction, SMART repairs and stone-chip repairs for cars and vans across Tyne and Wear. Whether you want one scuffed bumper corner sorted or an entire vehicle refinished, we will explain the options and recommend what makes sense.
What we cover
Specific services
Full Resprays
A complete repaint of the vehicle, covering preparation, colour matching or colour change, and what affects the finish.
View service →Paintwork & RespraysSMART Repairs
Small, targeted repairs to scuffs, scrapes and minor paint damage without respraying a whole panel, at our Hebburn motor centre.
View service →Paintwork & RespraysStone-Chip Repairs
Repairing stone chips in your paintwork before bare metal rusts, carried out at our Hebburn motor centre.
View service →Full resprays
A full respray refinishes the whole vehicle, either in its original colour or in a new one. It involves removing or masking trim, preparing every panel, applying primer, colour and lacquer, then reassembling and polishing. It suits cars with widespread fading, lacquer peel or multiple damaged panels.
Partial resprays

A partial respray repaints only the damaged panels and blends the paint into the areas around them. It is the usual choice after accident damage or when one or two panels have been scratched, scuffed or faded.
Paint matching
Paint matching combines the manufacturer's paint code with an inspection of how your car has aged, because sun and weather change colours over time. We adjust and test the mix and blend it into adjacent panels so the new paint is not obvious.
Paint correction
Paint correction is machine polishing that levels out swirl marks, light scratches and dull patches in the lacquer to bring back depth and gloss. It cannot remove damage that has gone through the lacquer, but it can transform tired paint.
SMART repairs

SMART repairs deal with small to medium damage such as scuffed bumper corners, door edges and minor scratches without repainting a whole panel. They are quicker and more targeted than a full panel repair, though very deep or widespread damage needs a bigger repair.
Stone-chip repairs
Stone-chip repairs fill and refinish the small chips that appear on bonnets, bumpers and door edges. Left alone, chips let moisture reach the metal and rust can bloom underneath. Repairing them early keeps the repair small.
Why choose us for paintwork & resprays
Colour matched, not just close
Paint is matched to your vehicle's colour and blended into neighbouring panels so the repair does not stand out.
Right-sized repairs
From a small SMART repair to a full respray, we recommend the smallest repair that will genuinely look right.
Bodywork and paint together
Panel repairs, dent removal and respraying happen in the same workshop, so there is no passing the car between businesses.
How it works
Look at the paint
We inspect the damage, panel condition and colour, and tell you whether polishing, a SMART repair or a respray is right.
Preparation
Damaged areas are keyed, filled where needed, primed and masked so the finish will hold.
Colour and spray
Paint is mixed to match and applied in controlled conditions, then blended into neighbouring panels.
Finish and handover
The repair is polished and checked in daylight before we hand the vehicle back.

Paintwork & Resprays FAQs
What is the difference between a full and partial respray?
A full respray repaints the whole vehicle. A partial respray repaints only the damaged panels and blends the colour into the surrounding paintwork.
Can you match my car's exact colour?
We use your vehicle's paint code and adjust for fade and ageing, then blend into neighbouring panels so the join is not obvious. Metallic and pearl finishes take extra care.
What is a SMART repair?
SMART stands for Small to Medium Area Repair Technique. It is a targeted repair for scuffs, scratches and small damage that does not need an entire panel repainting.
Can scratches just be polished out?
If the scratch is only in the lacquer, polishing can often remove it. If you can feel it with a fingernail or see primer or metal, it will need filling and painting.
Do stone chips need repairing?
It is worth it. Chips expose the metal beneath the paint, and rust can start from them, particularly in winter and near the coast.
Can I change my car's colour?
Yes, a full respray can change colour. Door shuts, engine bay and boot areas need more work to look right, so we agree exactly what is included first.
How long will paintwork take?
It depends on the job. A SMART repair is quicker than a full respray, and drying and curing take time. We will give you a realistic estimate when we have seen the vehicle.
Can you paint a panel that has been repaired elsewhere?
Yes, we can look at it. We check the preparation underneath before painting, and we will tell you if the previous repair needs redoing first.
